The battery compartment is at the base of the lantern. To replace the batteries, remove the cover at the bottom, take out the old batteries and insert the new ones.
i love this lantern already, at my grandma’s house, she has a antique miners lantern, in all red. and i don’t know what it runs off of, but this westinghouse lantern is AMAZING
Just bought this it will not change from flames ot light tried several times but it will not change?

The item should switch from white light to flame light by pulling the top of the light up, pushing it back down and pulling it back up.
